Fridgy, carry your fridge in your pocket. Fridge is a mobile app that allows busy people to manage their food in their refrigerators and plan appropriate meals without having to think about it. This project was our first sprint project with the collaborative effort of five team members.

When was your last time
threw food away?
You didn’t mean to right? No one wants to waste food. Life got in the way, you were busy, you wanted to spend time with your family, and it slipped your mind. We all do it.
Those were the things our interviewees said in the interview, to help us understand their pain points and needs.
So...here comes a question...
How might we help busy parents of large families utilize food before it spoils in order to reduce household food waste?

UI Design Decision
Having our target in mind, who Fridgy has a clean and simple layout to enable the user to plan their meals "on the go." Round shapes and animated food items increase the playability of Fridgy and make it fun to use.The choice of "fresh" colors represents the feeling of a fridge. Light green embody our environment saving value and tanned yellow and grey just make a relatively neutral palette that is soothing for the eyes, but not boring
Based on the primary and secondary user tasks, those were main highlights of features were added to solve the problem conveniently.
Users can see what's in their fridge and how long they have until they expire without having to open it. Fridgy can save them time and help them keep track of their materials before they deteriorate.
Users can select the ingredients that will expire soon to cook with. Fridgy will generate different meal suggestions with recipes based on what they select, allowing users to save time while using up what they have in their fridges.
After adjustments from user testings, we have developed my hi-fi prototype for Fridgy.
People are busy, and food waste initiatives are surfacing feelings of guilt and setting unrealistic expectations. Life happens. So the goal of Fridgy is to help them tackle this problem without it becoming a burden; it promotes a "use what you're about to lose mentality." They no longer need to struggle, all they need is Fridgy.
Fridgy makes managing their food in the fridge simple and effective. As a result, Fridgy and users can combat food waste without having to think about it, stirring up negative emotions and setting unrealistic expectations. Also, after using Fridgy, there will be less food waste, and it will be a small but significant step toward sustainably protecting our mother earth for individuals.
I learned a lot through this project's whole UX process. Every step meant a lot to me.
